Sacred Valley – Moray & Salt Mines Tour
The tour begins with hotel pick-up in Cusco between 6:30 and 6:45 a.m. At 7:00 a.m., the journey starts, taking us first to Chinchero, known as the land of the rainbow. Here you’ll have the chance to experience the living culture of the last Quechua descendants who still preserve their traditions.
Next, we head to Moray, the famous Incan agricultural laboratory, where various crops were adapted to local conditions. Afterward, we’ll explore the Maras Salt Mines, where the community extracts salt from natural spring pools — one of the region’s main salt sources.
We’ll continue to Ollantaytambo, known as the living Inca city, famous for its architecture and as the main gateway to the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Then we visit Pisaq, an archaeological site known for its agricultural terraces and unique Inca cemetery perched high in the mountains. Finally, we’ll stop for 30 minutes at the Pisac handicraft market, where travelers can buy local products.
The tour ends around 7:00 p.m. at Cusco’s Plaza de Armas.
