Sacred Valley – Pisaq & Chinchero Tour
The day begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 am. We’ll head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and our first stop will be the Taray Viewpoint, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the valley and have the chance to take stunning photos. Then, we’ll visit the Pisaq Archaeological Complex, famous for its agricultural terraces, Inca neighborhoods, and an ancient Inca cemetery located high in the mountains. Here, you’ll have time to explore and take photos.
Next, we’ll descend to the town of Pisac, where you’ll have free time to explore the Artisan Market and visit local silver jewelry workshops. We’ll then continue our journey to Urubamba, where we’ll stop to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Ollantaytambo, known as the Living Inca City, as it preserves Inca architecture in the homes inhabited by the last descendants of the Incas. Ollantaytambo is also the gateway to the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Finally, we’ll head to Chinchero, known as the land of the rainbow, where we’ll visit a traditional Quechua home and explore the local archaeological area.
The tour ends around 7:00 pm with drop-off in downtown Cusco, near the Plaza de Armas.
